About Marga de Miguel
Marga is currently working on her Digital Marketing PhD in Business and Economics and has a Master´s degree in Sustainability and CSR. She has a bachelor’s degree in business with honors. She has always been linked to technology-leading projects in marketing, positioning, communication, advertising, and branding in sales, digital content solutions, and digital and cultural transformation.
Before she moved to Schiller University as Global chair of the Business area, she was Head of Digital Marketing in the IoT&BD Telefonica Tech global business unit. She has more than 25 years of experience as a global team leader in management roles for the Telefonica group such as Marketing, Sales and Communication, Digital and Cultural Transformation, Branding, Advertising, Multichannel Strategy, Retail, Sponsorships and events, Retail consulting and Innovation projects; focused on change management and leadership projects. Before that, she started in various communication groups such as Havas or WPP.
Most of her experience has also been focused on communicating the benefits that technologies such as the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, or Blockchain bring to companies and thus to people. Her special interest in transmitting them to young students and future professionals made her change to the higher education sector. She is passionate about technology, innovation, and stimulating creativity to them. She also has entrepreneurship experience as a startup founder and has spent several years living abroad (UK, Australia, Argentina). She also has been a volunteer in several organizations.
