Tampa Graduation 2023

Schiller University Tampa Campus was abuzz with excitement as we celebrated the outstanding achievements of our Fall 2023 graduates. The air was filled with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation during the Commencement Ceremony that took place at the scenic Tampa Garden Club on the evening of Thursday, November 9, 2023. This event was not just a ceremony, but a landmark of success for the combined classes of 2022 and 2023.

Our graduates have shown resilience and determination, embodying the spirit of Schiller University with their academic and personal growth. The commencement was a testament to their hard work, as each name called echoed the culmination of countless hours of study and dedication.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Jeanette Espinal, our esteemed Dean of Students. With a speech that resonated with encouragement and hope, Dean Espinal inspired our graduates to carry forward the legacy of Schiller's educational excellence. She reminded them that this ceremony was not the end but the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

The evening was illuminated by the achievements of our distinguished awardees. Daniel Silverstein Gurvich, the recipient of the Friedrich Schiller Award, captivated the audience with his speech, reflecting on the journey at Schiller and the unwavering support of the faculty and peers that shaped his experience. Oana Maria Andrei, our Valedictorian, stood as a beacon of academic prowess, setting a high bar for all future graduates with her remarkable academic record.

Our keynote speaker, Sonya Holley, MBA, a Schiller alumna and founder of "I Got Inspired Today," shared her vibrant journey, which interestingly intertwined with Schiller’s founder, Dr. Walter Leibrecht, decades ago. Her inspiring career path, from coordinating cultural activities at our London campus to teaching at Schiller and her role as a motivational speaker and fashion expert in the Tampa Bay Area, was a powerful reminder of the dynamic paths our graduates can pursue.
