Can you share some of your fondest memories from your time at Schiller International University?

One of my fondest memories was the collaborative learning environment—engaging in group projects, debating IT trends with peers, and working on real-world case studies. The friendships I built with students from different backgrounds were invaluable, providing me with a global network that continues to enrich my career today. I also appreciated the faculty’s hands-on approach, where theoretical concepts were always tied to their practical applications.

How would you describe the spirit and culture of Schiller during your years on campus?

Schiller’s culture was dynamic, international, and intellectually stimulating. With students from different parts of the world, it was a melting pot of cultures, ideas, and perspectives. The emphasis on critical thinking, adaptability, and global awareness made it more than just an academic institution—it was a training ground for real-world problem-solving and leadership in an interconnected world.

Are there any qualities of the Schiller education that you believe continue to benefit students today?

The key qualities of a Schiller education that remain relevant today include:

• A Global Perspective – The ability to work across cultures and understand international business & technology trends.
• Practical Learning – Courses were designed to integrate hands-on experiences, ensuring students were industry-ready upon graduation.
• Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving – The rigorous academic approach encouraged students to think analytically and develop strategic solutions.
• Adaptability – The diverse environment and case-based learning prepared students to thrive in rapidly changing industries like IT and business.

How has your education at Schiller played a role in your life since graduation?

My Schiller education was instrumental in shaping my career. It gave me a strong technical foundation in IT systems, problem-solving, and cloud infrastructure, which has allowed me to work in leading multinational companies like Bank of America, Nokia, and Adobe Systems. Beyond technical skills, Schiller instilled in me the ability to communicate, adapt, and lead in global environments, which has been invaluable 
as I manage IT operations across France, Spain, and Italy.

What do you consider to be the most valuable aspect of your Schiller experience?

The international exposure and multicultural collaboration stand out as the most valuable aspects. Schiller wasn’t just about academics—it was about learning how to navigate and succeed in a globally connected world. Understanding different working styles, communication patterns, and cultural nuances has been a major advantage in my career.

Is there a specific person (teacher, student, etc.) from your years at Schiller you remember in particular?

Professor Bridget Beazumy had mindset of continuous learning and innovation that has stayed with me throughout my career.

What advice would you give to current students to help them make the most of their Schiller experience?

Making the Most of the Schiller Experience
1. Build a Strong Network – The connections you make today will be valuable throughout your career. Engage with professors, alumni, and peers.
2. Apply What You Learn – Internships, real-world projects, and certifications will set you apart from others in the job market.
3. Stay Adaptable & Curious – The tech and business landscape is constantly evolving. Keep learning, whether it’s cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity, or business trends.
4. Leverage Schiller’s Global Environment – Your ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds will be one of your biggest assets. Learn to adapt, communicate, and lead in multicultural settings.
5. Think Beyond Borders – Whether you’re in IT, business, or any other field, opportunities today are global. Be open to working in different countries or collaborating internationally.
