This collaboration agreement between our university and SAS responds to the growing demand for professional profiles capable of analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data. In this way, professors and more than 150 students of the Business Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Maths or the Master of Data Analytics degrees will be trained in advanced analytics that will allow them to explore, analyze and visualize large volumes of data in a fast, agile and simple way.
According to a recent study by Esmi, in 2021, more than 143,000 job offers included SAS certifications as one of the requirements to access the position. Its general manager for Spain and Portugal, Christian Gardiner, explained that "SAS' goal is to help students develop those skills and abilities in the areas of advanced analytics and data science that are increasingly demanded by companies, public organizations and even society. With our help and commitment, we want them to become great leaders in digital transformation. With this agreement, we will drive the democratization of the data world at all levels and for all students, while boosting the economic recovery."

In addition, students will be able to obtain the following certifications: SAS Certified Specialist exam: Base Programming Using SAS 9.4; SAS Certified Professional: Advanced Programming Using SAS 9.4 exam; SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst: Regression and Modeling exam; SAS Certified Specialist: Machine Learning Using SAS Viya; and SAS Certified Specialist exam: Visual Business Analytics.
