What is a German Student Visa for Indians?
A German student visa for Indians serves as your official ticket to pursue academic studies in Germany. This visa is a mandatory requirement for Indian students who have received acceptance from a German university. It allows them to legally reside in the country and attend their chosen study program, including various higher education institutions, such as Schiller International University in Heidelberg.
Typically, this initial visa is valid for three months, which provides Indian students with time to arrive in Germany and complete necessary steps to apply for a residence permit. This residence permit, usually valid for one to two years, allows them to stay longer based on the length of their course. And if your program extends past that, you can renew the permit.

Before you dive into filling out the application and scheduling your appointment, it is crucial to prepare two complete and identical sets of all the necessary documents listed below. Remember to bring the original documents with you as well.
