Interested in Working in the US?

OPT (Optional Practical Training) is a benefit available to those Schiller international Students (F-1) that study and finish their last year of degree at our Tampa Campus. This benefit provides them with the opportunity to legally stay working in the US for a period up to 24 months*.

This unique practical training program allows you to gain valuable hands-on experience and start contributing to your education and global mindset in a country full of prospects like the USA right away. A real experience through which to develop your skills and build relationships with potential employers while determining your future.

How does it work? 

All OPT must be directly related to your major area of study. If you are a Schiller International Student (F-1), you may be eligible to participate in OPT in two different ways:

• Pre-Completion - Opt-in program while studying, and get the advantage of having the chance to work while you are finishing your studies.
• Post-Completion - Opt after graduation to work in your major field of study after the completion of your degree program.
