French ‘Etablissement d’enseignement supérieur privé’

In France, Schiller International University is open as an ‘Etablissement d’enseignement supérieur privé’ (private higher education institution).

As an officially U.S.-accredited university, Schiller International University's bachelor's and master's degrees are generally recognized as comparable to the French Licence (BAC+3) and Master (BAC+5) levels, respectively, for academic and professional purposes. Graduates of Schiller’s programs may apply for further studies within the French higher education system.

France does not formally recognize foreign diplomas but evaluates them for equivalency under the Lisbon Recognition Convention on international diploma comparability. Through this process, an Attestation de Comparabilité (Certificate of Comparability) can be issued, which helps clarify how Schiller degrees align with French academic levels.

It is important to note that Schiller’s degrees are not French-issued diplomas. The comparability attestation is granted on a case-by-case basis by submitting an application to France Éducation Internationale, which operates the French ENIC-NARIC center. This process is available for both bachelor's and master's degree holders.
