Trying to organize your schedule without success? You're not the only one.
At exam time, because of work or day-to-day projects, we sometimes think that the time we have is not enough to get everything done. It is something that has happened to all of us, so don't push yourself too hard thinking that you can't do it, you just need a little organization.
To achieve it, you can apply these tips or time-management strategies to your routine. They will help you organize your time in the best way and be as efficient and productive as possible.
· Make a routine
Getting into a routine can help you organize all your daily activities. It's a good way to reduce anxiety, which is usually the biggest concern for all of us when we study during busy times at the university. And it is about how to balance homework and study time, with your personal and social life.
A good way to do this is by creating your own routine at the beginning of the academic year, or each semester, to adapt to it quickly. Make a calendar in which you can write down the things you have to do each day and the time you can dedicate to each one. This way you will never get lost.
Although, of course, there will be some days you can't follow it, don't worry, it's normal. But knowing that you have it will help you keep your tasks in order, understand your priorities , organize your time, and, with it, also your mind.
· Do one thing at a time
When we have several things to do, we always come across the same situation: we don't know where to start and we want to do them all at once, jumping from one to the other without really making progress on any of them.
It's easy to feel overwhelmed when there are a million things to do, but it's important not to let that feeling take us down. How? By setting priorities. Choose a task (you can start with the most difficult one or the one you feel like doing least, so you can get it out of your head as soon as possible) and don't think about the next item until that one is done. Once you have finished the first one, then go for the next one. But never before.
You'll see that it's easier than it seems. Plus, it will help you save time and be more productive.
· Be organized
Organize your school and daily tasks the gym ... It might sound like a cliché, but we don't always put it into practice, and is undoubtedly the most effective strategy to be efficient.
And... spoiler alert! Checklists can be your best friends. Open your cell phone notes, write down everything you have to do every day, and cross them off one by one as you do them. Why don't you try it out and see how good it feels?
And for class work, make a separate folder for each subject, well named and located where you can find them. It doesn't matter if you do everything on your computer or if you still prefer analog.
· Find balance
The reality is that when we have many responsibilities it is normal to feel pressured by that feeling of stress or anxiety that bothers us so much. College, family, work, and social life become completely unmanageable. And at times like these, it's good to give yourself time to recharge. It's not a step back, it's the way to build momentum.
Find your way out of this loop, your balance. It can be sports, your family, going for a drink with your friends, or watching a series on the couch, just find what you need to clear your head and get back to your tasks with more strength.
· We are always here for you
And, of course, never hesitate to ask us for help. We will always have time to listen to you and assist you. And if you need more time to study or for your exams, you can also tell us, we adapt to your needs so that nothing stands between you and the person you want to be in the future.
